Chris Palfreeman racing in the 3/4 race at the MK Bowl

We have been busy road racing lately with a good degree of success! Last Thursday 19th we had myself, Justin Garon and Junior Chris Palfreeman racing in the 3/4 race at the MK Bowl. After a fast 25mph race Chris nearly made a lone break work with 20 minutes to go but couldn't quite hold on with just 5 laps to go...

however he still had the presence of mind to sprint for 6th place to gain his 3rd cat. I took a pleasing win by around 10 bike lengths (ignore the report on BCF as the video proves it!) when I attacked some 500 metres from the line before the final bend enabling me to cruise home easily and enjoy the win in style!

In the E12 race Tom Kruger placed 8th narrowly out sprinted by Team Corley's Ian Knightly by less than a tyre width and Liam Stones came in 10th. This was the main bunch sprint as 6 riders had pulled away together.

This Sunday 22nd myself and Justin Garon rode in the Ashwell Primavera 55 mile road race. The wind made it an ideal opportunity for tough racing but it was a very disappointingly negative affair with only really myself, Justin and a select few others willing to chase a group of around 12 riders that took the prize money and points. Liam Stones and Tom Kruger both competed in the Central Division Champs with Liam making an incredible debut at 15th place in this National B event over 85 tough and windswept miles.
